Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom teeth or otherwise known as third molars are the last teeth to erupt in the mouth. Often emerging in the mouth between the ages of 18-25, wisdom teeth can cause a great deal of pain and discomfort if left unexamined and untreated.

As part of our comprehensive examination, our dentists at Maude Street Dental will often advise you to have an OPG (i.e. full mouth x ray) to determine the health and position of your wisdom teeth. If it is deemed that the wisdom teeth require extraction, we can organise an appointment to have these wisdom teeth safely and efficiently removed by our dentists.

There are some cases where our experienced dentists may decide it is best to have your wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthetic at the hospital. In these types of cases, our team will organise for you to be seen by one of our trusted oral surgeons.
